Power BI Setup
Workspaces and Reports
Get a list from the client or from the Project Manager with the reports and the desired configuration.
You will need, for each desired rotation sequence(s), a table of the following form:
| Report | Workspace | Page | Seconds |
|---|---|---|---|
| report id | workspace id | page name | number of seconds |
These sequences can be refined later.
Power BI User
The recommended setup is to use a dedicated user on the Microsoft tenant to authenticate against Power BI.
The downside of this is that the user needs an extra Power BI Pro license.
The upside is that this allows for maximum security. The dedicated user can be configured to have only access to the required Workspaces (and nowhere else), and only read-only access.
Technically, any licensed user can be used.
If the same client runs the Automation Server, you may re-use the Automation Server user.
