Project Manager

Assigned per Project, in planio (aka planio.Order). Technically, this is achieved by assigning the Order to the planio user who is the PM for that project.

For Projects without order (T&M), the Relationship Manager performs the Project Manager tasks.

Often, the Project Manager is the same person as the relationship-manager, but not always.

Depending on the client and the project, the Project Managers contact person is the relationship-manager or the Client Project Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Checks the logged hours of the project as part of the weekly-timelog-review-meeting
  • Project Management:
    • negotiates priorities and timelines with the counterpart (Client Project Manager or relationship-manager)
    • tracks projects
      • status (completion)
      • budget
      • potential delays and overruns
      • sets Orders to done in planio, but not to verified
    • reports status and calls status meetings with the counterpart
    • raises risks (like overspend or delays) counterpart
  • Creates and updates planio issues for his project
  • Explains tasks to other delivery-team-members and consults them for estimation
