Background Info

The goal of the daily standup meeting (aka daily scrum) is to

  • have a daily touchpoint
  • communicate the resolution of dependencies
  • communicate blockers, so they can be resolved

Process Details

  • Organizer: Scrum Manager
  • Participants: all delivery team members
  • Frequency: Daily
  • Trigger: 9:00 every morning

Preparation

Agenda

  • The Scrum Manager walks through the daily view, client by client
  • Each team member raises, for each client:
    • Tasks on which he is blocked
    • Tasks he will pick up today?
    • Shuts up if there is neither
  • Blockers are discussed and resolved, e.g. by
    • Pairing up with someone who can help
    • Re-assigning the task to another team member
